Plan for Green-Roofed Highway in Toronto » TheStar
A plan was revealed today to add a roof to the Gardiner Expressway that could be turned into a park with trees, bike paths, etc. This would essentially be a giant highway sized green roof in the middle of the city. There would be no snow covering the road in the winter time, and there would be no decade long construction project to tear the whole highway down.
